Active layer for multiple mud classes (no sand)
Hello, when modelling several mud tracers with no sand, it is not really sensible to have the active layer.
This may turn into a discussion point as people may have other opinions (!), but for my cases I did need to turn it off so have described how to do it below (it is surprisingly easy).
I have managed to turn off the active layer in this case in "bed1_init_sediment_gaia.f" by replacing lines with if-statements, as follows:
IF(NSICLA.GT.1)
replaced with IF(NSICLA.GT.1 .AND. NSAND.GT.0)
...and...
IF(NSICLA.EQ.1)
replaced with IF(NSICLA.EQ.1 .OR. NSAND.EQ.0)
Note that I also did the same in 'lecdon_gaia.f' so that NOMBLAY is not incremented by 1 (it is set equal to NUMSTRAT). However, I hard coded NOMBLAY = NUMSTRAT for now because NSAND is calculated further down the routine.
I would be interested to hear if others think that this would be a sensible modification to the standard telemac/gaia?
