Wind not read in correctly when coupling with TELEMAC2D and using a GLOBAL RESULT FILE
Hello
I think there might be a problem with the way the wind is read in, in TOMAWAC, in the case where TOMAWAC is coupled with TELEMAC-2D and the TOMAWAC simulation follows from an earlier one (use of a GLOBAL RESULT FILE).
I'm working in v8p3. The wind output in the TOMAWAC result file is constant throughout the simulation. This translates in erroneous wave generation due to wind. Resetting the t0 to 0 in the GLOBAL RESULT FILE (it is the time step at the end of the previous simulation by default, i.e. not 0) improves the results but the wind is still read incorrectly - there is a 1hr shift - with a resulting shift in wave height compared to the uninterrupted simulation result.
I've also tried in v8p4. The value of t0 in the GLOBAL RESULT FILE has no impact this time. However, there still is a problem with the interpolation of the wind file - a dip close to 0m/s at the 2nd time step and generally smoothed out otherwise (possibly still a shift?). I’ve attached figures to this ticket to illustrate the problem. In the figure called v8p3.png, black is the “truth” (the wind file), red is without using a GLOBAL RESULT FILE, pink is with a GLOBAL RESULT FILE, and dark yellow when its t0 is reset to 0. In v8p4.png, same meaning for black and dark yellow, pink is under. The top figure is winds, the bottom wave heights where black comes from the uninterrupted simulation.
Many thanks for looking into this
