TPXO file submit string in DICO file should be SCAL not PARAL
Hi When using TPXO binary database files, the SUBMIT setting in the DICO file (telemac2d.dico and telemac3d.dico) is set to parallel. Therefore it copies the database files for each parallel partition which takes lots of time and disk space. However, this does not seem necessary? Are there any situations where this is actually required? If not then it would be preferable to change the default behaviour to scalar mode so that only one copy of the files is made in the temporary folder that all partitions use.
For example, in telemac3d.dico, for the BINARY DATABASE 1 FOR TIDE keyword settings
SUBMIT = 'NBB1-READ;T3DBB1;FACUL;BIN;LIT;PARAL'
can be changed to
SUBMIT = 'NBB1-READ;T3DBB1;FACUL;BIN;LIT;SCAL'
(and similarly for BINARY DATABASE 2 FOR TIDE).
I have tested this on our Linux server and there have been no issues.
Thanks Tom
